Northants Fire Protection, (now Northants Fire Ltd.), was launched as a one-man business in the recession of 1989 by Ian Hammond. Ian had considerable previous experience in the industry with Chubb Fire based in the South East and Midlands. Within a very short space of time business developed well enough for his son Sean to join the business. Son number 2, Will joined in 1996 and since then we have employed a further two engineers, a store man and our office manager Celia.

Located in the centre of Northampton we are ideally placed to meet the needs of businesses within mainland the UK. As well as local business we have many high street name customers who place their valued business with our family owned company. We have proved many times the value, flexibility and responsiveness of a smaller business over our larger rivals!

In recent months Sean has taken over the reigns from Ian and become Managing Director. He and Will expect to ensure further growth of the company whilst ensuring that we maintain the strongest possible links with our existing customer base.

Our commitment to quality ensured that we were the first Northamptonshire based fire extinguisher company to achieve BSI Accreditation. We are full members of The Fire Extinguisher Trades Association, (FETA), and registered with The British Approvals for Fire Extinguishers, (BAFE).

All our engineers are approved and registered with FETA and we are committed to ensuring they are further approved under the new BAFE Registered Technicians Scheme covering the maintenance of portable extinguishers.
